Winter Walk and ParadeValatie, NY - The Valatie Economic Redevelopment Association (V.E.R.A.), the Village of Valatie, and the Valatie Santa Claus Club, and Valatie Now are proud to sponsor the Annual WinterWalk and Winter Parade in and along Main Street, Valatie on Saturday, December 9th  from 5 until 9 pm. The Winter Parade will be populated by firetrucks and rescue vehicles from eighteen area fire departments, as well as performers from Dance Diversity and carolers from regional organizations. And of course the highlight of Valatie's Winter Parade is Santa Claus riding on his sleigh. 

Following the annual Winter Parade on historic Main Street, Santa will receive visitors and listen to requests at the Martin H. Glynn Municipal Building on Church Street;  Jesters, Elves, Face-Painting will be around for more fun! 

Narrative sanctuary tours, with Q&A will be offered at Valatie's iconic Landmark Presbyterian Church!

Main Street merchants and businesses will present their "Winter Windows", and a variety of live musical performances will include Marty McDermott, Josh Greenberg, Gentlemen Caller, and The Cat's Asss, Solo Harp music by Dawn Danis, and Live Music Up & Down Main Street!  

Kids of all ages will enjoy John Farrell | Hope River Music's special holiday production held this year inside the historic Valatie Community Theatre.

Hay Rides are back (!) to carry WinterWalkers to various venues, with holiday vendors along the way; Carolers stroll our historic village Main Street, and a kid's Scavenger Hunt will challenge and delight!

Along with the festivities, village shops are open teeming with Homemade cookies, chocolates, and other holiday goodies! Holiday treats will be available along Main Street and Route 9—or stay in the village for dinner at one of our local cafés, grills and restaurants. And don't forget the live music after-party at Valatie Bar & Grill.

Snap some pictures with Santa and winter-time views of our iconic waterfalls and our Main Street Winter Windows, and do some holiday shopping at the eclectic mix of stores and boutiques in our charming and historic village.
