History Where You EatDeRuyter, N.Y. – The Chenango County Historical Society (CCHS), Lincklaen Town Historian, Madison County Historian’s Office, and Apple Creek Country Club are partnering for the third annual “History Where You Eat” – Chenango County edition. With regional origins in Madison County, this dynamic program allows participants the opportunity to discover a bit of local history while enjoying menu items unique to Central New York.

On May 18, visit the Apple Creek Country Club, located at 1230 Mariposa Rd., for a delicious buffet dinner priced at $17. Two seatings will be offered, with the first at 5 p.m. and the second at 6:30 p.m. Beginning at 6 p.m., Madison County Historian Matthew Urtz will provide an overview of “History Where You Eat,” Lincklaen Town Historian Diana Kilfeather will offer a brief history of the community, and CCHS Executive Director Jessica Moquin will share about International Museum Day. Space is limited, and reservations are required by calling (315) 852-6466.
